Quick and Easy Red Pepper Pasta

Get ready to be the talk for the night with this Red Pepper pasta recipe!

Let’s get right into it shall we.

Ingredients:

A pinch of salt, because life is bland without it, and it adds suspense (Total: 1 second)

A dash of freshly ground black pepper, because we like to live on the edge, and this spice is our thrill-seeker

3 to 6 cups of pasta, any shape you fancy (like rigatoni, penne, or something that makes you smile because they’ve all passed the pasta beauty pageant

1 tablespoon of extra-virgin olive oil (extra fancy for an extra fun time, it’s practically a vacation in a spoon)

2 tablespoons of butter, because butter makes everything better (except maybe your waistline, but who’s counting?)

3 cloves of garlic, minced (the more, the merrier, and the more breath mints you’ll need)

1/2 large onion, finely diced (it’s half the fun, right? Cutting onions is the new extreme sport)

2 cups of roasted red peppers, drained and roughly chopped (because chopping is the new rage, and we believe in pepper rehabilitation)

1 cup of vegetable or chicken broth (your choice, it’s a broth-off, who’s got the better backstory?)

1/4 cup of heavy cream (because why be light when you can be heavy, your taste buds are on vacation)

2 tablespoons of finely minced fresh parsley (for that green touch, it’s like confetti for your plate)

Several leaves of fresh basil, chopped (keep it fresh, keep it fabulous, it’s like a fashion show for herbs)

1/2 cup of Parmesan shavings (because cheese, that’s why, it’s the VIP of this party)

Let the Comedy Cooking Begin (Total: 16 minutes):

Get a big pot of water boiling. Add some salt, but not your life savings, and cook the pasta as the package demands. Don’t worry; it’s not an interrogation.

Meanwhile, take a large skillet, and heat it up with olive oil and butter. Throw in the garlic and onions and let them dance around for 2-3 minutes. They need a social life too.

Toss in those red peppers and let them get hot under the collar for another 2-3 minutes. Spice things up!

Now, in a shocking twist, blend everything in a food processor or blender. It’s a pepper makeover – they’ll still have some texture, don’t worry, they’re not becoming smooth talkers.

Pour the pepper mix back into the skillet. Add some broth, a pinch of salt, and some more pepper. Stir until it’s all warmed up. Then, give it a little cream bath and stir again. It’s a creamy party!

Throw in the parsley and basil – they’ve been waiting for the right moment to shine. Taste and adjust the seasoning, because life’s too short for bland food.

Your pasta should be ready by now. Drain it and invite it to the skillet party. Add Parmesan, and let them get acquainted.

Serve in bowls with extra Parmesan, and a sprinkle of parsley and basil. It’s like a cheesy, herby confetti celebration on your plate.

Enjoy your meal, and may your taste buds forever savor the comedic flavors of life! (Total: A lifetime of laughter and deliciousness)
