Moto Morini’s Grand Comeback: Four New Rides to Rule the Roads!

In a world where the phrase “Italian Renaissance” usually conjures images of art and pasta, Moto Morini is here to remind us that there’s another kind of masterpiece in town – on two wheels, to be precise. The once-floundering Italian brand has unleashed not one, not two, but FOUR new big bike models, making a grand entrance into the liter-class category after a hiatus that felt longer than an Italian dinner party.

The Resurrection: Morini’s Rollercoaster Ride

If Moto Morini were a soap opera, it would have more plot twists than a Shakespearean tragedy. Chinese-owned since 2018, the brand has had more comebacks than a ’90s boy band. After a brief hiatus post-liquidation in 2010, Morini was scooped up by Chinese scooter maestros Zhongneng in 2018. Fast forward to 2022, and General Manager Alberto Monni drops the bombshell – 11 new models in two years. Move over, Game of Thrones; this is the real drama.

The Dynamic Duo: X-Cape 1200 and Milano 1200

Morini’s liter-class return is led by the dynamic duo – the X-Cape 1200 and Milano 1200. These 1200cc V-twins boast the new ‘V2 Corsa Corta EVO’ engine, a technological marvel that not only meets Euro5+ regulations but also claims to pump out 125bhp, though slightly less potent than its predecessor’s 140bhp.

The Milano, described as a ‘timeless naked,’ underwent a complete makeover, shedding 4kg with a part-aluminum frame, updated suspension, Brembo brakes, and more LED lights than a rock concert. Four riding modes, cornering ABS, and a 5in TFT display? It’s like Morini went to a tech expo and thought, “We’ll take one of everything, please.”

Meanwhile, the X-Cape 1200 marks Morini’s return to the liter adventure class. With a tubular steel trellis frame, wire wheels, and a 19-inch front hoop wearing Pirelli Scorpion tires, it’s the big brother the X-Cape 650 never knew it needed. And yes, it comes with an integrated navigation system – because getting lost is so last season.

The Sassy 750s: Corsaro and Corsaro Sport

Not content with conquering the liter class, Morini decided to throw some 750cc V-twin sass into the mix. The Corsaro, a sporty roadster, struts its stuff like the Ducati Monster’s flamboyant cousin. On the other hand, the Corsaro Sport is the fully faired sportster that says, “I woke up like this.”

Both 750s pack a punch with an all-new 749cc, liquid-cooled, 90-degree V-twin, producing 96bhp – because who needs subtlety when you can have speed? With frames mixing tubular steel and aluminum, Brembo brakes, and fully adjustable suspension, these 750s are like the fashion models of the motorcycle world – sleek, stylish, and ready to hit the runway… or road.

The Bottom Line: Prices and Availability, TBD (Because Anticipation Builds Character)

While we’re still in the dark about prices and availability, Moto Morini has ensured that the motorcycling world is on the edge of its seat. Will these Italian stallions break the bank? Only time will tell. Until then, gear up for the comeback of the century, because Moto Morini is back, badder, and more beautiful than ever. Ciao, bella!
